Electroplating

Electroplating is a process also called electrodeposition.

Zinc electroplating is the process of applying a layer of zinc on a metallic part. It is done by using electricity to transfer zinc from the zinc anodes in the plating bath to the parts to be plated.

Once the zinc is applied, parts can go in different chromating baths to passivate the surface. If a higher corrosion protection is needed or if a friction coefficient was specified, sealers and topcoats can be applied to meet the most stringent demands.
